CHSP

Commonwealth Home Support Programme

Entry-level support services designed to help older Australians live independently at home for longer, with dignity and peace of mind.

About CHSP

What is the Commonwealth Home Support Programme?

The Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP) is an Australian Government-funded initiative providing entry-level support services to help older Australians live independently and safely in their own homes.

CHSP is designed for people who need a small amount of help with everyday tasks, such as cleaning, personal care, or getting to appointments. It's the first step in accessing aged care support before a Home Care Package might be needed.

Services are subsidised by the government, meaning you only pay a small contribution towards the cost. Your contribution amount depends on your circumstances and the services you receive.
